Why We Exist
Strong schools are built by strong communities.
Every day, educators in Stillwater Area Public Schools create meaningful learning experiences, support students' unique needs, and inspire the next generation. But many of the opportunities that enrich education, from classroom innovations to programs that support educators, require resources beyond what traditional school funding can provide.
The Partnership Plan exists to bridge that gap.
We connect the generosity, passion, and expertise of our community with the needs and opportunities within Stillwater Area Public Schools. Through grants, scholarships, recognition programs, and community partnerships, we help ensure that students and educators have the resources they need to thrive.
Because when we invest in our schools, we invest in the future of our entire community.
Our Partnership with the Stillwater Area Public School District
The Partnership Plan is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that collaborates with Stillwater Area Public Schools. While we work closely with staff and district leadership to understand emerging needs and opportunities, we operate independently and are governed by our own Board of Directors.
Our role is to inspire community investment in public education — not to influence district policies, curriculum, or operational decisions. Instead, we connect generous donors, businesses, foundations, and alumni with opportunities that enrich learning and support students and educators.
Our Guiding Principles
Mission
The Partnership Plan connects the community and its resources to Stillwater Area Public Schools to support exceptional learning experiences for all students.
Vision
To champion innovative learning for every student, every year, by being the driving force that energizes and unites community investments in Stillwater Area Public Schools.
A Community Vision, More Than 35 Years in the Making
The Partnership Plan traces its roots to 1982, when a community task force was convened to explore the future of education in Stillwater Area Public Schools. Among its recommendations was the creation of a community coalition dedicated to expanding educational opportunities beyond what traditional funding could provide.
That vision became a reality in 1989 with the formation of The Partnership Plan. Since then, the organization has connected generations of donors, businesses, alumni, and community members with opportunities to enrich learning, support educators, and invest in student success throughout Stillwater Area Public Schools.
